Married At First Sight star Selina Chhaur has blasted her ex-'husband' Cody Bromley after he admitted on the show he wasn't attracted to her Asian features.

The hairdresser, 33, said that not only were Cody's remarks 'heartbreaking' and 'humiliating', but they also didn't make sense to her because they had been intimate during the experiment.

She told the Wigs Off podcast that Cody's 'schlong didn't coordinate with his head' after he told her he preferred dating white women from the Northern Beaches.

Selina also said she'd been bullied her entire life - from her school days to the start of her career - and that his comments 'triggered' her.

'I thought I had moved on from that,' she said.

'I thought I healed that and to have my so-called "husband" bring it all up again, it was so triggering and heartbreaking.'

'It's sad people see skin colour or sexual gender or body shapes and judge that before knowing the person for what's on the inside.'

On the show, Cody blindsided Selina during an 'honesty week' challenge in which the couple had to truthfully answer hard-hitting questions about their relationship.

The scene saw the 30-year-old reluctantly admit he wasn't 'used to dating' Asian women and didn't initially find her look attractive.

'For someone [like Cody] who's done a lot and immersed themselves in so much travelling, it blows my mind how I, a proud ethnic woman, am something [Cody's] not "used" to,' Selina recently told Pedestrian.

'It just blows my mind that there are still people out there who still think like that. He made me feel like I was an alien.'

Selina, whose parents are Chinese and Cambodian, said Cody's confession inspired her to stop adhering to Western beauty standards, including wearing blue contact lenses and bleaching her hair blonde.

'I'm a proud ethnic woman and I feel so empowered. I feel like I've re-birthed myself,' she declared.

As part of her 'rebirth' Selina reverted back to her natural brunette locks.

Her transformation came months after Cody dumped Selina in the car on their way home from filming the MAFS reunion dinner party in January.

The pair announced their split at the final debrief with the experts the next day.
