These latest versions of iPhones come with features that have proven quite helpful in curbing unwanted calls. With that said, there are three different ways to block No Caller ID calls on these versions of the iPhone.

With the unique silence unknown callers feature created for iPhones on iOS 13 upwards, your calls from unknown callers will be directed straight to voicemail.

Although your iPhone won’t ring when you receive a call from an unknown caller, a record of the call will appear in the Recent section of your phonebook. You’ll also receive a notification of the message if they leave a voicemail.

True to its name, this feature will silence calls from unwanted callers.

This is another way for you to block unwanted calls from unknown callers. Here’s what to do to set it up:

Once this is done, you can close the menu and return to your home screen.

This process will allow calls from only the people you have saved in your contacts list to go through to you.

The downside is that it prevents calls from other numbers, and you could miss important calls from numbers other than the ones in your contacts list.

Lastly, you can block unknown callers by creating a new contact and naming it Do Not Answer or No Caller ID.

Since iPhone cannot block hidden or private numbers because it doesn’t recognize them, you can create a contact that mimics this unknown number.

Once this is done, your iPhone will be able to recognize hidden or private numbers as blocked numbers.

This will prevent your phone from ringing when you receive a call from an unknown number.

Some of the features on the latest iPhone versions might not be available on the older versions. Fortunately, there are still alternative ways to block calls from unknown numbers.

Keep reading to find out.

Remember that doing this will block unknown numbers and numbers that aren’t stored in your contact list.

If you aren’t satisfied with any of the above-listed methods, you can block unknown numbers on your iPhone through your cell phone carrier.

Plans or filters to block unknown callers are provided by most of these service providers. Some of the most popular networks in the US offer: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint.

You can sign up for Call Filter services if you use Verizon as your cell phone carrier, and it’s free to Verizon subscribers.

A selection of features in the app is also provided, including blocking spam and robocalls control.

The AT&T Call Protect app offered by AT&T also helps prevent unwanted calls from reaching your iPhone

. You can either go for the basic, free version or pay a monthly subscription of $3.99 for the premium option.

Both choices provide nuisance Call Alerts and Unknown Call Blocking. The app is available to AT&T subscribers using iPhone 6 upwards.

This service offers a filtering app called ScamShield, and it protects against robocalls, spam, and unwanted calls.

You can download the app for free from the App Store or go for the Scam Shield Premium, which offers more features and requires you to pay a monthly fee.

Sprint service also offers a plan that prevents you from receiving calls from unwanted numbers.

You can either decide to go with the free basic plan, or you can choose the premium plan that comes with a monthly payment and more enticing features as well.

Several apps can help stop you from receiving calls from unwanted numbers, some of which are: Robo Shield and Truecaller.

Go to Settings, then Phone, and switch on the Call Blocking & Identification option next to your chosen call blocking app.

By doing this, whenever you receive a call from an unknown number, the app will run it against its list of spam callers.

Depending on your selected setting, the app will label the call and silence it if a match is found.

Open the Phone app and tap Keypad. then dial *67 before the number you want to call. The receiver/person you call won’t be able to see your phone number.

Instead, they will see No Caller ID, Private, or Blocked.

Yes, it does. You can use it to dial out anonymous calls on any iPhone, landline, Android, Blackberry, or Windows phone. It is the universal “anonymous” code.

Simply dial 67 before the number you want to call.

For example, if you want to block your caller id when calling 555-555-5555, dial 67-555-555-5555 instead.

To do this, add 141 to the beginning of the number you want to call.

This will prevent your number from being visible to the receiver. Instead, they will see your number as No Caller ID, Private, or Blocked.

Yes, it still does. However, you should know that *67 does not work when you call emergency or toll-free numbers.

No, it doesn’t. While the number you call using *67 won’t be able to see your caller id, it is restricted only to calls. It doesn’t work for text messages.

No, they won’t know they’ve been blocked. Although the messages sent by the person you’ve blocked will show as sent on their end, you won’t receive the messages on your phone.

When you block an iPhone user, they won’t receive any notifications that they’ve been blocked.

Their messages will show as sent on their end, but you won’t receive the messages from them, and you can’t respond either.

There are plenty of apps on the iOS App Store that can enable you to text others anonymously. Some of them include: Text Me, Text Free, TextNow, and textPlus. You can even send and receive texts from a number assigned to you by these apps.

Also known as a phantom call, a ghost call is a telephone call for which, when the receiver of a call answers the phone, there is no one on the other end of the call.
