UNSW to host healthy contact lens wear Australian roadshow - Insight

Scientia Associate Professor Nicole Carnt from the UNSW School of Optometry and Vision Science is bringing her ‘Healthy Contact Lens Wear Roadshow’ from the UK to Australia next month when eyecare providers can learn to communicate healthier habits with patients.

The events (4-17 October) will feature “Witless Wearer” scenarios – such as Briony who sleeps in cosmetic contact lenses or Helen who surfs in toric silicon hydrogels – which have been filmed with actors by the Moorfields/UCL Biomedical Research Centre in London.

Carnt and her team will deliver six fun, interactive evenings with light refreshments in Cliftons Conference Centres in Australian capital cities.

“Learn how to communicate evidence-based research using behaviour change tips you can apply across the spectrum of your practice. Register now, as the evenings are capped at 40 people,” Carnt said.
