CooperVision announced today that it acquired EnsEyes, a supplier of orthokeratology and scleral contact lenses.

The San Ramon, California-based company said the acquisition of EnsEyes will help accelerate the growth of specialty lens adoption across the Nordic markets.

EnsEyes, with headquarters in Kolding, Denmark, has partners in Denmark as well as Sweden, Norway and Finland, providing customized lenses and professional education.

The newly acquired company will operate within CooperVision’s Specialty EyeCare group. EnsEyes founder Esben Nørregaard Sørensen, a former CooperVision executive, will remain with the company.

Financial terms for the acquisition were not disclosed.

“We have collaborated with EnsEyes for years, including its use of MyProcornea for lens ordering,” CooperVision Specialty EyeCare President Juan Carlos Aragón said in a news release. “Joining CooperVision will give its highly respected team more resources for growth, further build the expertise of our organization, and support eye care professionals’ soaring enthusiasm for specialty fitting.”
