The sensitive but powerful Gyomei Himejima is perfectly represented in a new Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba cosplay.

The Demon Slayer Corps' pious warrior, Gyomei Himejima, is the subject of an impressive new cosplay.

The new look at the Stone Hashira comes from Instagram user @artemisentrericosplay, a cosplayer and self-described fitness addict based in Rome, Italy. The cosplayer faithfully recreates the gentle giant's look, from the scars running along his forehead to the numerous kanji that decorate the powerful warrior's haori overcoat. The look is completed with a pair of white contact lenses, which recreate the pupil-less appearance of the blind leader.

More of @artemisentrericosplay's intricate costumes can be seen on their Instagram page, which also shows a few previews of the cosplayer's upcoming take on another popular Demon Slayer character, Inosuke Hashibara. In addition to their portrayal of that series' demon-hunting warriors, the cosplayer has also portrayed a number of other iconic characters from other popular shonen franchises, including My Hero Academia's top pro-hero Endeavor and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's iconic main villain, Dio Brando.

The character of Gyomei Himejima is originally introduced in Chapter 44 of the Demon Slayer manga, where he is introduced along with all of the other remaining Hashira as they judge Tanjiro Kamado for breaking their organization's rules. While the character has yet to play a major role in the events of the anime series, he is a key figure throughout the second half of the manga's storyline. According to the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, Himejima achieved the Demon Slayer Corps' highest rank, Hashira, in just two months, and the blind warrior is considered by many to be the organization's most powerful fighter. Unlike the other Demon Slayers, who generally fight using nichirin katanas, Himejima hunts demons using a kusarigama, a Japanese weapon that resembles a sickle with a ball and chain attached to one end.

Two other powerful Hashira, the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and the bubbly Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, will be highlighted in the anime's third season, which was confirmed to be in production earlier this year. The new season will focus on adapting the Swordsmith Village arc, which sees Tanjiro traveling to the home town of the Demon Slayer Corps' swordsmiths in order to repair his damaged nichirin blade. A premiere date for the new season has yet to be announced.

The full Demon Slayer manga by Koyoharu Gotouge is available in English from VIZ Media. The previous two seasons of the anime are available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
